World Foods Recipe Swap

world foods

A while back I was asked if I’d like to take part in the World Foods International Fusion Recipe Challenge with a blogger from another country and I jumped at the chance. We were asked to take our favourite dish, or one that is popular in our home country and shake it up a little by incorporating one of their Asian fusion sauces from the WorldFoods Collection. I was patterned up with Melissa from Smith and Blessings in the U.S and we decided to write a guest post for each others blogs. You can find my recipe for Patatas Bravas over on Melissa’s blog and this is Melissa’s gorgeous recipe for Thai Turkey Burgers right here:

Thai Turkey Burgers

Burgers & fries are definitely a popular meal in the US. But they’re also quite versatile & can appeal to just about anyone. That being said, I love turkey burgers! (Much to my hubs dismay.)

I find plain ground turkey to be quite bland for burgers, so I’m always adding seasonings & spices for a more vibrant taste. This Thai Turkey Burger made with World Foods Thai Masaman Curry Cooking Sauce, not only has a wonderful flavor to it, but also only has three ingredients (& I just told you two of them). I also have to tell you that my pickiest eater loved this! Even after she watched me make them, which honestly surprised me.

turkey burgerIngredients:

•1lb. ground turkey

•¼ – ½C. World Foods Thai Masaman Curry Cooking Sauce

•½C. dry bread crumbs

Directions:

•In a large bowl, combine all ingredients together with your hands.

•Shape into patties & cook or grill until done, roughly 7-10 min.

I topped my Thai Turkey Burger with lettuce, tomato, onion & a Thai mayo made from mayonnaise & a bit of World Foods Thai Masaman Curry Cooking Sauce. The Thai mayo also makes an amazing dip for Sweet Potato Fries (prepared just as you would homemade French fries, only seasoned with a bit of sea salt), the perfect complement to any turkey burger.
