Wild, Playmobil and Turning the Alarm Off #littleloves

Friday seems to have come around quick this week and that can only be a good thing. The kids have both got a day off school, so I’ve even managed to avoid turning on my dreaded alarm. I’ve never been a morning person but the sound of it screaming out at 6.30 every morning is enough to drive anyone mad. I can’t wait for the Easter holidays when I’ll be able to turn it off for two whole weeks.

The absence of early morning wake up call aside, here’s what’s made it into our #littleloves this week.

Read

I’m still reading Wild and it has me hooked. For those who’ve seen the film, it’s even better. It transports you to the Pacific Crest Trail and  in and out of Cheryl’s life, the good, the bad and the ugly. It’s so descriptive, you can almost feel her every emotion as you follow her on her journey.

Watched

I may have binge watched Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix. It’s not the kind of thing I would usually watch, but it had me cringing and laughing in equal measure throughout the 10 episodes.

Made

I’ve been sticking to my diet again this week and have knocked up a few recipes from the new Weight Watchers magazine. This is just a quick photo of the Italian hasselback chicken I took last night before it was devoured in minutes.

Wore

It’s over to the little one for this one. We were lucky enough at the weekend to enjoy a little sunshine when we went to the Playmobil FunPark. It was warm enough to abandon our jackets for the afternoon and play on the great new pirate ship outside in just our jumpers. Now if Spring could hurry up so the jackets are long forgotten, that’d be fab.

Heard

I’ve been listening to my James Arthur album in the car every day and have fallen in love with pretty much all of the songs on there. Safe Inside is one of my favourites, as well as Back from the Edge. The teen may have also got me hooked on several of Ed Sheeran’s new ones.

And lastly…

After a week of exams (for the teen) and another week of them next week. The little one coming out the other side of his brush with slapped cheek. And the man starting his new job next week, it’s definitely time for a little quality family time this weekend. It looks like we’re in for another weekend of sunshine so fingers crossed we’ll be out and about enjoying it. Have a great weekend whatever you get up to.

The film is great, although I think the book is better. It’s just her on her own a lot of the time with flashbacks so it can take some getting into, but one I always seem to watch when it’s on tv. Playmobil is in Malta 😉 x

I’ve been seeing all the reports of snow! Think the last time I saw any was this time in 2009 – other than when we went skiing a few years ago. Not that I particularly miss it. It’s fun for a few hours and then you start worrying about driving in it! x

There’s a couple of them around, Malta, Florida and Germany I think. Always popular with the kids, we’re yet to do a factory tour, but apparently that’s great fun too

I really must read Wild. I started the film on Netflx the other day but wasn’t in the mood for it, I’ll have to pick it up another day.
Hope you got some good family time and your teen’s exams are going well. xx
