Tips to Organise Your Bathroom

It is no secret that bathrooms are our least favourite places in our homes to clean. But if you think about it, bathrooms are also the most relaxing spaces in our home. It therefore, makes every bit of sense to ensure they’re neat and tidy. Who wants to ruin their bathroom sanctuary with clutter after all?

You don’t need a huge budget, or even a builder to organise your bathroom. The following ideas will transform it and create additional storage space

1. Use a Travel Container to Store Hair Accessories

You know how hard it is to organise all those hair accessories, whether in the bathroom or elsewhere in the house.
However, you can use travel size containers to keep them together and on hand when you need one.

2. Using a Sliding Organizer Under the Sink

It’s easy to ignore the space under the sink. If you use the area for storage, a slide-out mesh basket keeps everything visible and accessible.

3. Use Baskets to Stash Bath Toys

Bath time is always fun, bath toys scattered all over is not. Why not attach baskets to your shower rod and use them to store toys safely away after bathtime?

4. Organize your Medicine Cabinet

Medicine cabinets are other areas in the bathroom that are forgotten when tidying up. Go through your bathroom cabinet regularly, checking for out of date medicines and throwing them away when necessary.

5. Using Matching Bottles for Shower Essentials

Having all your shower essentials such as shampoos and conditioners in matching containers helps in making your bathroom space feel comfortable. Matching cool such as blue throws in a bit of a luxurious feeling into your morning shower – it couldn’t be more fun.

6. Toilet Paper Rolls in Baskets

Toilet paper rolls lying everywhere in the bathroom is not something that adds aesthetic appeal to a bathroom. Why not pop them into a basket? Out of sight, but within easy reach.

7. A Ladder for Towels

The bigger the household, the more towels there will be. Why not use a ladder style shelving unit to free up space while creating a large storage area.

8. Using Flower Pots and Bins to Organize Drawers

Bathroom drawers are often in disarray. Change that by dividing the space into smaller areas to limit movement of items when you open and close the drawers. Unused flower pots and bins will do the trick.

9. Baskets Above the Toilet

Installing a basket above your toilet can help make the most of your space. Or hang the basket from towel bars and use them to store different bathroom accessories.

10. Mason Jars for Wall Storage

Don’t clutter the sink space with different bathroom accessories. It is not only unappealing but makes using the sink harder. Don’t waste this space. Secure mason jars with hose clamps and stash nail cutters, nail scissors, toothbrushes and brushes in them.

Bathrooms should be spaces for destressing after a chaotic day at work. Make sure it’s the sanctuary it should be.
