I bit the bullet and finally signed up to Slimming World again yesterday. After a year of pretty much eating anything and everything, it’s time to get my act together and lose weight once and for all.
I’ve got a massive amount of weight to lose. About 8 1/2 stone in total. No one ever thinks I have that much to lose. I’m tall (ish) at 5ft 8 so I guess I ‘hide it’ well. Or perhaps 8 1/2 stone is such a massive amount no one believes I could possibly be that fat.
Slimming World is a diet that has worked for me in the past. I lost 4 stone in just 4 months about 6 years ago so I’m hoping it will help me tackle my weight and get back to a healthy weight. A weight I haven’t been since I was a teenager.
I’ve signed up online. There are no groups here, so it was either attempt it completely on my own or go online and hope that by doing so I’ll at least get a bit of that motivation I found in the groups in the past.
Meal plan wise I’ve come up with the following dinners for the week:
Roast dinner with Oxo roast potatoes
Steak in peppercorn sauce
I really struggle to come up with healthy breakfasts and lunches so I’ll be making up a batch of Louisiana chicken and rice for lunches throughout the week, along with soup and jacket potatoes. I really am useless at breakfast and so far it’s pretty much looking like toast or porridge, so I need to liven up my choices a bit to make sure I don’t get bored.
