October seemed to come around in a flash. And as quickly as it arrived it had gone again. Leaving us with wonderful memories.
We had a wonderful half term. Lazy days in front of the tv, running around kicking fallen leaves and some fun days out. The whole month really was just lovely. We’ve explored more of our new surroundings and discovered some great new places to visit too.
Wingham Wildlife Park was one such place. A certain dino crazy 5 year old insisted we visit over half term. He’d heard radio ads mentioning their dinosaurs and couldn’t wait to see them. As you can see from the above image, he loved every minute of it. And it allowed the teen to indulge her love of animals and photography as she snapped away on the DSLR capturing some really beautiful images.
Another dino day out was at Maidstone museum. We’d heard it had a dinosaur exhibit and the little one had been desperate to have a peek. So we headed there after a lovely meal out one weekend and he had a whale of a time. Best of all it was free.
We’ve loved wandering along the canal, watching the trees lining it change colour and drop their leaves throughout the month.
And a certain young man absolutely loved a trip to the seaside amusements. The ghost train is his absolute favourite and he dragged his dad on 3 times before agreeing to try anything else.
We have of course been trick or treating, which was a first for this little dude. And on a spooky Halloween train. Neither of which I took any photos of. I think sometimes you’re just too ‘in the moment’ to whip the camera out.
Here’s to another fabulous month!
