Meal Planning Monday and I’m on a roll!

meal planning mondayI finally stopped the snacking and didn’t deviate from the meal plan last week resulting in a 5lb loss in just 5 days, needless to say I was thrilled when my wii fit told me that little piece of info on Saturday morning! This week it’s diet friendly all the way again and hopefully another pound or two off!

Monday

Manhattan burgers (from the new Slimming World magazine)

Tuesday

Chicken Katsu Curry (Slimming World)

Wednesday

Smoky lamb skewers (from the new Weight Watchers magazine)

Thursday

Ham & Cheese Kievs (Weight Watchers)

Friday

Meatball pasta bake (from the new Slimming World magazine)

Saturday

Pork kebabs

Sunday

Chicken, tarragon and new potato bake (from the new Weight Waters magazine)

I’ll be serving as many meals as I can with just veg rather than potatoes and veg like I usually would and I’ll be knocking up another batch of chilli tomato soup and some more delicious English muffins which were a great success and went down well with the kids and the man too!

I fancy trying Chicken Katsu Curry. Is this one you think kids would eat?

It’s this one http://www.slimmingworld.com/recipes/chicken-katsu-curry.aspx I’ve not tried it before, always meant to but never got round to it. My 11 year old doesn’t like really spicy food (she’s a korma queen) and my 1 year old isn’t too keen either so I’ll probably use 1/2 tsp of chilli powder instead of a full tsp and maybe 1tsp of cumin instead of 2. I’ll let you know how it turns out 😉

Well done on the weight loss. Hope you keep it up. I eat loads but do not snack between meals and I go to the gym most days. Your meals sound really nice.

Thanks. I would love to get back down the gym, for now I’m relying on the wii fit and walking though

Why do you serve meat every day? Try some whole weat pasta or rice with just a whole bunch of steamed veggies, it’s so amazingly yummie! Or some grilled salmon with a salad.

I don’t like fish and can’t stand veg so a meal without meat doesn’t seem like a meal in this house unfortunately – probably why I need to lose weight no doubt!

My katsu curry turned out to be a disaster last night! The chicken (just dipped in egg then seasoned breadcrumbs and baked) was gorgeous but the sauce was like baby food and probably one of the most revolting things I’ve ever tasted and I somehow managed to burn the rice – I blame facebook! Think I’ll try a shop made one in future as I’d always fancied it!
