Did I really just include the word November in the title of the post? Where on earth has this year gone? It sure seems to be flying by. Maybe I’m just getting old.
I really enjoying writing these posts at the beginning of each month. Last month I didn’t think I had very much in the way of things to look forward to planned, but it turned out to be a pretty fabulous month as you can see in my recent #Littleloves post.
Here’s what we have lined up in November:
I bet you didn’t realise Bonfire Night isn’t celebrated abroad. Not a lot of English people do, until they get there and you find a lot of confused tourists asking when the fireworks will be taking place. We were lucky enough to see some pretty amazing fireworks when we lived in Malta as there’s a lot of fireworks factories there. Plus any excuse to let off a firework and they’re there with bells on. Having spent a small fortune on a display which wasn’t that great last year, we’re wrapping up warm and heading out to a local free display. What with trick or treating a few days before, he can’t believe his luck.
A Birthday Party
We’ve had it booked since September but the little dude’s party will be upon us before we know it. As he’s a Christmas Day baby it’s so easy for his birthday to be lost in the hustle and bustle that is the festive season. So this year we’ve joined forces with one of his school friends for a soft play/laser tag party and are holding it between both of their birthdays. I’ve even been organised enough to have already paid for it. So all I need to do is rock up with a cake and the birthday boy in tow.
Heathers the Musical
I’ll let you in on a little secret. I hate London with a passion. I hate the huge volume of people and the noise. Even getting there is enough to send my blood pressure sky high. But when I found out the teen’s latest obsession, Heathers, was on in the West End, I knew I had to take her. It’s an early Christmas present and she is so excited. I was hoping to combine it with a Harry Potter themed afternoon tea but the timings just didn’t fit very well. So perhaps that’s one for next time I put on my big girl pants and brave the journey. Now I just need to watch Heathers and see if I remember it from the 80s prior to our trip. If you have any suggestions for dinner near Haymarket let me know.
You’ve got to love Freddie Mercury. As soon as I saw this film was in the making I was looking forward to seeing it. My friend, my sister and I are hoping to make an evening of it at Bluewater in the next few weeks. I haven’t been to Bluewater in about 6 years. If you have any suggestions of where to eat there these days I’m all ears. I’ll be asking you to watch the film for me next!
What are you looking forward to this month?
