Healthy Lifestyle | Diet Week Two

Week two on the diet seemed to whizz by and I’m pleased to say I managed to remain on track. There were of course some times I could have slipped up. Both kids have been asking for numerous treats. The little one is obsessed with going out for lunch or dinner. The teen kept asking to go to a bakery and get piles of pastry for lunch. Followed by cake of course. I managed to avoid both. Don’t get me wrong, they’re hardly being denied the odd treat, but at this stage in my diet shake up I don’t want my nose rubbed in it. And it won’t do them any harm missing out on the odd calorie laden treat either.

Food

I’ll admit to not being very imaginative this week. Especially with my lunches but I did make a few nice recipes from the new Weight Watchers magazine which went down a treat.

Breakfast – Bacon sarnies, banana pancakes, wholemeal toast followed by natural yogurt with honey.

Lunch – Reduced fat cheddar sandwiches. Think a pot noodle made it onto the lunch list one day too.

Dinner – Beef taco style pasta, hasselback chicken and cous cous (see above), chicken kebabs, steak and chips.

I’ve also stuck to my flavoured water, with the odd glass of pepsi max, rather than entire bottles every day. I’d like to say my skin is clearer and I’m radiating health, but all it seems to do is make me pee every 2.5 seconds. It’s like being pregnant all over again!

Results

Despite my rather lacklustre lunches and lack of exercise I lost another 2lb this week, which has spurred me on to continue with my healthy eating. 7lb in 2 weeks is great and I’m hoping if I keep it up I’ll be able to hit my goal of 1 1/2 stone off by the end of March. Wish me luck!
