I love the chance to recommend my favourite blogs. And after 8 years of blogging, I’ve definitely read my fair share. So which blogs make it onto my list this time around?
Way back when I first started blogging, Cass was one of the first bloggers I ever ‘met’ online (after 8 years we’ve STILL never met in person, but now I’m back in England I’m planning on stalking her). I feel like I’ve watched her 2 kids grow up through keeping up with her blog and our teenage daughters even chat on instagram. She is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet and is always there when I need a moan. She may also have a serious addiction to all things mojito.
Her blog is a mishmash of lovely family moments, recipes, practical every day tips and of course as you’ll guess from her blog’s name – money saving tips and tricks. And boy is she good at it. Cass doesn’t pretend to be the Queen of all things frugal, she has the odd splurge. But she can do so, because of all the savings she has made. I’ve certainly made a few thanks to Cass’s blog, the latest being using her tips for using Cashback websites, which I signed up for before we moved back here and I’ve got myself a nice little stash now.
I can’t remember how I stumbled across Jenny’s blog, although I have a feeling it was either through linkys Morganna or Emma were running at the time. Jenny is like a breath of fresh air. Her enthusiasm and happy nature just radiate from the pages of her blog. You simply can’t help but smile when you read it.
You’ll find beautiful photography, recipes, travel and heartwarming posts about her two little cuties on Jenny’s blog. Some of my favourites are when Jenny heads home to the States each summer and offers us a glimpse into where she grew up. It’s a seriously beautiful part of the world and I do love seeing what Jenny and her family get up to over the summer holidays.
Now I don’t consider myself any kind of beauty expert. Infact I barely even bother putting much makeup on anymore – there’s got to be a plus side to living abroad for years – hello year round tan (not that I expect it to last now I’m getting frostbite in England of course)! And I don’t tend to read beauty blogs, but Hayley’s I make an exception for. It’s not just all beauty. It isn’t too ‘young’ for me at the grand old age of 36 (never gonna get used to typing that despite my birthday being almost 3 weeks ago). And there’s no playing up to brands. If she thinks something isn’t all the great, Hayley isn’t afraid to say so.
I’ve made some fantastic beauty finds through this blog, and even picked up some great blogging tips. See, told you it isn’t just all beauty. It’s one of those blogs you can return to again and again and always find something different.
