Cosy Knits, Podcasts and Boss Baby #littleloves

We’ve had a great week. The teen’s been off school on half term, she gets two weeks rather than one. So she’s been ‘busy’ doing what she does best – laying in bed on her phone and laptop. I did manage to crowbar her from the bed one day though and we went to have a wander in the nearest little town to us. We had lunch, window shopped, browsed in way too many cute boutiques and chatted away. After a difficult few weeks with her (I blame the hormones), it was lovely to enjoy each other’s company.

Onto my #littleloves for the week:

I’ll get straight to the point on this one. I loved it. The third in the series of stories surrounding the Comfort Food Cafe, it’s one of those you simply can’t put down. It follows Zoe as she makes the decision to up sticks and head to Dorset for 6 months with her goddaughter Martha for a much needed fresh start. And it’s not only cake and comfort food they find at the cafe, friendship, family and even a little romance are quick to follow. It’s the perfect read for a chilly autumn evening and I can’t wait for the next installment in the series, due out next year.

The last episode of Liar was pretty fast and furious, wasn’t it. I was on the edge of my seat and then all of a sudden it was over. Perfect ending ready for the second series though I guess.

The little dude watched Boss Baby at a special after school showing on Thursday, which he absolutely loved. Especially as he had his new best friend by his side and nanny picked him up and took him home for dinner at her house afterwards.

A mess? Nope. Nothing to see here I’m afraid.

I’ve fallen in love with the sleeves on my new cosy knit. And I’m finally embracing the autumn mustard colour trend.

I binge listened to the latest three episodes of Sara’s podcast and they’re some of my favourites yet. I absolutely love the Hashtag Authentic podcast, it really is packed full of info on such a huge variety of subjects. All of which relevant to bloggers and creatives.

And lastly…

We’re busy planning what we want to do over half term. We were toying with going away for a few days, but have decided instead to explore a few places near our new house instead.

Have a great half term whatever you get up to.

I love mustard. I’m a little behind with hashtag authentic so need to binge listen to a few. I always love them. Enjoy half term.

I’ve never really braved mustard before but I’m loving it. Just realised I’ve got another one of Sara’s podcasts to listen to this week. I’ve started listening to them while doing the ironing – makes it that little bit more bearable 😉

Love the colour of your jumper! Very autumnal! Wasn’t Liar good! Slightly disappointed with how it ended but looking forward to series 2! Have a wonderful half term xxx

i agree on the ending, it was just a bit meh. Although will be quite satisfying in a sick kind of way seeing who killed the evil b*****d! Ha ha I may have got way to into Liar! It’s definitely my favourite jumper. I was wearing it again yesterday. Only problem is the ribbony bits on the sleeves don’t mix with cooking! x

Ah another Hashtag Authentic fan – don’t you just love Sara’s voice? I’d listen for that alone! Such great content though, I agree. So with you on the teen hormones, I have two teenage girls in the house and wow it’s a feisty one at times! I tend to let mine lounge around in half term these days, I think they really need it don’t they? It’s almost 12 and I’ve just woken my daughter up! xx

Ha ha I love Sara’s voice! So calming – I could listen to her all day and she certainly makes tackling the ironing way more interesting that’s for sure! Teenagers eh! Mine certainly enjoys her bed. I don’t actually think she leaves it these days unless it’s to go to school or get food. I was always out when I was her age, which I think is what I find hard to deal with. I can’t understand the whole being happy sitting on snapchat for hours when she could be out having fun with them. Funny you should say that, mine’s still soundo and it’s gone 11am! x

Love your jumper, that flatlay shot is just so pretty and Autumnal too.
I do love Sara’s podcast, it’s about the only one I consistently listen to week after week x

I just listened to her latest one while doing the ironing. Makes it go so much quicker and I actually forget I’m doing something I hate while listening! The teen took that pic for me, she’s way better than I am with photography and styling things. x
