5 Seriously Inspiring Weight Loss Instagram Accounts

Need a little weight loss inspiration? I know I certainly do! If you’re trying to lose weight and lack in motivation, these instagrammers will have you feeling motivated in no time.


#motivationmonday -270lbs in 15 months! If you’re new to my journey, my name is Lexi. I was just a girl fedup with being a prisoner in her own body & not living the life she wanted. I set a New Years Resolution with my husband @dannyreed5 in 2016 to lose the weight. I decided no more excuses, this was the last chance to save my life. I weighed 485lbs & started doing cardio 4-5x a week for 30 minutes on the elliptical. It was hard, but I was determined. I started eating healthy, cooking my own meals, setting goals, & tracking all my calories. No surgery, no pills, no trainer, no meal plan – just hard work every day. I focused on each day not all the weight I had to lose. I am proof that anyone can lose weight naturally. You don’t have to figure it all out, you just have to start. I’ll never go back to the life I was ‘living’ before. I am so happy of the person i’m becoming & actually feel alive. I’m no longer a prisoner in my own body or on the sidelines of my life. My hopes is that someone will hear story & decide not to give up. 270lb down in just 15 months! Lexi may still be shifting the pounds, but what an amazing transformation already! And all just through diet and exercise. I look at this post and think of the excuses I make. I do 5 minutes on my crosstrainer before I give up. Look at what happens when you suck it up and do half an hour a day! Lexi has proved to me that you have to put the effort in if you want to achieve results, but most of all that you can exercise at any size.


If you haven’t started yet, don’t worry. I didn’t start properly either until march 2015. And again this year, I am still trying to find my way. Nothing is lost, you have plenty of time. Your head needs to be in the game. It won’t come easy thou. There is no magic pill or drink you can take that will do the work for you. It will be hard work, you will have to say no to things sometimes. There will be days where you won’t want to go to the gym and have a take out instead. Your brain will be your greatest enemy. It is what it is. Don’t stress about it. Just try again every single day. The work will be worth it. I promise you 💗 Some info: I started March 2015 but the photo got taken Jan 2015. I have lost weight with @weightwatchers and a @fitbit then I gradually added cardio to my workouts. I go to the gym 3 times a week. I am 5ft 5. It took me until Dec 2015 to lose 75 lbs. 2016 I maintained. How amazing is this transformation? Not just because of the obvious loss in weight, but also that mindset. Another amazing slimmer proving hard work really does pay off and there is no quick fix.


One of the first instagrammers I followed on my weight loss account (@goodbyebingowings if you’re interested) and I couldn’t believe the transformation Becky has undergone. She has lost over 11 stone now, which is pretty damn amazing and all through sheer hard work and determination.

Enjoy each day as it comes, spend the time with your loved ones, go out for that meal, accept that invitation, say yes to that piece of cake. Make memories. Please.     They are amazing! What is also amazing is that I still find it so hard to get of my backside and really get into exercise when I KNOW it is the answer! I’m off to follow these and hope the motivation is catching 🙂
